Getting Started or Request a Coach

Coaching is effective for couples who want to change and improve their relationship.    The role of the coach couple is to present key relationship skills and facilitate the application of the skills so the couple achieves their desired results.

• MarriageTeam coaching is unique in that it provides both a husband and wife perspective.
• Coaches help create mutual accountability and facilitate habit forming changes.
• Coaches provide skills and insight into the areas of communication, anger management, bitterness and forgiveness, conflict resolution, problem solving, personality differences, intimacy and more.
• MarriageTeam is a faith-based organization and works with couples of all religious views.
• Coaches are not licensed counselors and do not give marital or legal advice.
• Couples are responsible for all decisions that they make as a result of the coaching process.
• Coaching duration:
  -    Married, Cohabiting, Previously Married: 8-12 weeks, 1 meeting per week lasting 2-2.5 hours.
  -    Premarital (never married, not cohabiting): 6-7 weeks, 1 meeting per week lasting 2-2.5 hours.
• Cost
  -    Married, Cohabiting, Previously Married:      $160
  -    Premarital (never married, not cohabiting): $120
• No couple will be turned away for financial reasons.  If you want coaching, we will help you find a way to make it happen.

Step 1:   Complete the Intake Form for Coaching.  Print and complete the form.

Step 2:  Print, read and sign the Couple Coaching Agreement.  Both the man and woman need sign and date the bottom. Bring with you to  your first coaching session or mail to MarriageTeam offices at the address in Step 3.

Step 3:  Mail both forms and your payment to MarriageTeam, PO Box 873086, Vancouver, WA 98687-3086. Optionally, you can purchase materials online by clicking the appropriate ’BUY’ button below and make an online purchase with your credit or debit card. Please do not click the buy button more than once or else you may get a double entry.  If this happens, please change the quantity of items ordered on the form found on the left side.  If you are ready to purchase your coaching packet, please make your selection below:

For Pre-Marital Coaching (couple who is not married):

Step 4:  MarriageTeam will arrange for you to take the PREPARE (premarital) or ENRICH (married) inventory.  You will receive an e-mail from Life Innovations with a link and password to complete the inventory on-line.

Step 5:  When both have completed the inventory and we have recieved your paperwork, you will be assigned a coach couple who will call you to arrange for your first meeting.  If you have any questions during the process, you can call the office (360 450-6042)
